“This is a painting of proteas. I made sketches of the bouquet in front of me, then worked them up into a painting. I have used traditional professional watercolour paint, aquarelle pencils and Neocolours. The neocolours are from Caran d’Ache’s wax-based watercolour crayons. I have painted this on Saunders watercolour paper rough surface from St Cuthbert’s Mill, 300gsm (140lb).
Size: 25 × 32 cm. Mounted and unframed.”
